Macrame Acacia Bracelet = 90%  Organic Cotton / 10% Organic Tagua Nut

I’m not one for big jewelry but I saw this on a recent visit to REI and loved it!  I’m somewhat partial to all blue colored jewelry and the designs on this piece are fantastic.  I kinda thought even if I didn’t wear it that it was pretty enough just to sit out and look at.  Oh, and did I mention it was on sale reg. $20 on sale for $6.83, that was probably the deciding factor.  There is an added bonus to this beautiful piece that makes me wear it with pride, prAna made it about as environmentally friendly as possible.

Tagua Collection: Nature’s Jewelry by prAna

Tagua jewelry is made from the nuts of the tagua palm tree (phytelephas macrocarpa), which grows in the tropical rainforests of south america.  When ripe, the seeds fall to the ground, and this natural harvest is dried for up to eight weeks.  The nuts are then vegetable-dyed, polished and each design is carved by hand.
